Event Description
US Lacrosse is proud to announce that the 15th Annual Lance Holden Memorial Golf Classic sponsored by Lax World will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at Mountain Branch Golf Course in Joppa, Maryland from 11:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
We invite all coaches, current and former players, Hall of Fame members and lacrosse enthusiasts to participate in this 18-hole golf classic that offers prizes and good times for all. Each participant will receive a tournament gift pack, along with lunch, drinks and snacks. Please consider this worthy cause and enjoy the camaraderie of the lacrosse community while showing your support for the legacy of the Lance Holden Memorial Fund.

About the Lance Holden Memorial Fund
In 1988, Jim Darcangelo and Lance Holden opened Lax World in Towson, Maryland, and developed the top retail lacrosse equipment business in the world. "Our whole business was based on friendships," Lance used to say. "This sport is like a fraternity."
On June 21, 1998, the lacrosse world lost a great ambassador of the game when Lance succumbed to lymphoma. The Golf Classic was his creation. In his honor it continues.
US Lacrosse, together with Jim Darcangelo and the family of John Lance Holden, established the Lance Holden Memorial Fund in 1998.
Since 1998, proceeds of the Golf Classic have benefited the Lance Holden Memorial Fund, established to sustain two grants that create a living, community-building monument to Lance's memory. One grant allows a needy Baltimore-area youth lacrosse player to attend a summer lacrosse camp. The second grant provides equipment funding for a new youth lacrosse program outside of the mid-Atlantic region.
