The development of US Lacrosse policy and priorities is determined by the leadership of hundreds of volunteers from all over the country who contribute their time and expertise to US Lacrosse as members of the Board of Directors, Division Leadership, Councils and Committees. The US Lacrosse Board of Directors includes equal representation of men's and women's lacrosse from seven major constituencies within the sport: Athletes, Coaches, Officials, Post-Collegiate Clubs, Regions, Youth, and College Clubs. At-Large representatives are also a part of the Board structure. The Board of Directors meets three times each year, in January, June and September. The Executive Committee meets with staff monthly to monitor the progress of the organization.
Men's and Women's Divisions under the Board address the issues specific to the play of each version of the sport. Councils within and/or between each Division represent each major constituency within the sport, and Committees at every level of the organization focus on specific areas of activity.
