Considering Level of Play
US Lacrosse Officials Training is designed with consideration for officiating at different levels of play. Whereas there are many commonalities amongst the levels, from an emphasis on safety and sportsmanship to the mechanics for basic field positioning, there are many important differences. Curriculum guides will be available to trainers to guide their instruction by level, based on differences in rules, interpretations and areas of emphasis from one level of play to the next. It is important that officials understand and embrace these differences when officiating at each level of play, from youth up to post-college.
