At Hobart: Matt enters his sixth season at his alma mater Hobart College...Patriot League champions (2002)...Two NCAA Division I Tournament appearances (2002, '04)...Has coached four All-ECAC Lacrosse League selections...Has coached one ECAC Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year (2005: Daryl Veltman)...Coached 16 All-Patriot League selections...2006: Hobart went 6-8 on the year and 1-6 in the ECAC. The Statesmen did record a program milestone by winning the 700th game in the 104 year history of Hobart lacrosse on April 22 with a 12-7 victory over St. John's. The Statesmen join only John Hopkins and Syracuse as the three programs to reach that milestone...2005: Hobart joined the ECAC Lacrosse League for the first season finishing with a 2-4 league mark. 2004: The Statesmen returned to the NCAA Tournament for a second time in three years under Kerwick's guidance. Hobart finished second in the Patriot League but received its second at-large bid to the NCAA's on the strength of a 9-6 record with wins over two teams ranked in the top-13...2003: Hobart went 4-2 in the Patriot League, good enough for third place in the standings...2002: His first season back at his alma mater. Kerwick guided his team to a Patriot League championship and a NCAA Tournament berth. Matt was named Patriot League Coach of the Year.
