US Lacrosse will be conducting 17 U.S. Women's National Team clinics for youth and high school girls' lacrosse players (ages 10-18) in January and February of 2006.
- Lacrosse Magazine Releases 2006 Preseason Rankings (12-21-05)
BALTIMORE – Four defending national champions, including all three women’s NCAA champions, will repeat as title-winners in 2006, according to Lacrosse magazine’s annual preseason college rankings, released in the January/February issue.
- Historic Meeting Moves IFWLA and ILF Closer Together (12-06-05)
The future of international lacrosse took a major step on Oct. 7-9, 2005 in Baltimore, Md., as US Lacrosse hosted the first meeting between the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations (IFWLA) and the International Lacrosse Foundation (ILF) to discuss merging together as one organization.
- Women's Division National Tournament Returns to Lehigh (12-02-05)
The US Lacrosse Women’s Division National Tournament (WDNT) is returning to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., for the sixth consecutive year. The tournament, which annually brings together the nation’s top players to participate in high school and club divisions, will be held on Memorial Day Weekend from 27-28, 2006.
- 2006 Youth Equipment Grant Recipients Named (11-30-05)
A record 50 lacrosse organizations will receive US Lacrosse Youth Equipment Grants this year. This year’s grants are being awarded to 17 boys' programs, nine girls' programs and 24 grants will be awarded to programs with both boys' and girls' lacrosse. The grants were awarded to programs in 27 states.
- US Lacrosse Awarded Seal of Excellence (11-29-05)
US Lacrosse has been awarded the Maryland Nonprofits’ Seal of Excellence for successfully completing the Standards for Excellence certification program.

- U.S. Men's Team to Play MLL All-Stars in Boston, July 6 (11-10-05)
BALTIMORE — The 2006 U.S. men’s lacrosse team will play a team of all-stars from Major League Lacrosse in next summer’s MLL All-Star Game. The game will take place on Saturday, July 6 at Boston University’s Nickerson Field at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN-2 (broadcast time to be determined).
- Speakers Named for 2006 US Lacrosse National Convention (10-31-05)
BALTIMORE — The lineup of speakers for the 2006 US Lacrosse National Convention, presented by Harrow Sports, is nearly complete and includes the most comprehensive educational experience for coaches and officials ever offered. This annual kick-off to the lacrosse season, which attracts thousands of coaches, officials and lacrosse administrators, is set for Jan. 12-15, 2006 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and Philadelphia Downtown Marriott.
- Sue Heether Named Head Coach of U.S. Women's National Team (10-27-05)
Sue Heether, a member of three World Cup championship teams, has been named as the new head coach of the United States women’s lacrosse team. Heether’s appointment begins immediately and will run through the 2009 International Federation of Women’s Lacrosse Associations World Cup.
