BALTIMORE – The US Lacrosse Women’s Division National Teams Committee has announced that Andrew Carter will serve as the strength and conditioning coach for the 2006-07 U.S. Women’s National teams.
Carter serves as the head strength and conditioning coach, physical education instructor and assistant varsity boys’ lacrosse coach at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Va. He previously worked as a graduate assistant and intern in strength and conditioning at the University of Delaware and the University of Notre Dame, respectively.
Carter is a 2002 graduate of Salisbury University where he was a three-year letterwinner in football. He earned a master’s degree in exercise science from Delaware in 2005.
The U.S. Elite and Developmental teams return to action the weekend of Jan. 26-28, 2007 for the second annual Champions Challenge at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The teams will play exhibition games against the University of Massachusetts and defending NCAA Division I champion Northwestern University in addition to holding practices and a clinic for local players.
