U.S. Team Stands 2-0, Plays Canada Wednesday

HALIFAX, NS -- The 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship will heat up on Wednesday evening, when Canada (2-0) hosts the United States (2-0) at 7:00 PM EST in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The game will mark the end of round-robin play in the tournament, with the winner earning a bye to Saturday's semi-finals.

The United States defeated Australia by a score of 19-9 on Monday, and Ireland by a score of 20-0 on Tuesday. Matt Alrich, Chris Panos and Keevin Galbraith each scored four goals and three assists in the victory over Ireland, while goaltender JJ Pearl made 18 saves in the only shutout thusfar in the tournament.

Chris Schiller, Bobby Horsey, Pat Dutton and Marc Morley each added two goals in the win.
