BALTIMORE – Jim Nagle of Colgate University and Bonnie Rosen of Temple University have been selected as the US Lacrosse Coaches of the Week for the week ending April 27. Both will be recognized on CBS College Sports’ lacrosse broadcasts on May 3 and 4.
Colgate captured its first Patriot League championship and NCAA Division I playoff berth by beating Navy (12-9) and Bucknell (14-9) in the Patriot League tournament last weekend. Colgate has won six straight to improve to 10-5 and is ranked 12th in this week's USILA poll.
In her second year as Temple's head coach, Rosen led the Owls back to the NCAA tournament by winning the Atlantic 10 championship. Temple beat Duquesne 14-10 and Massachusetts 10-3 to claim its first A-10 championship since 2004. The Owls are 13-5.
US Lacrosse and CBS College Sports are in the fifth year of a partnership to help bring college lacrosse broadcasts to fans around the nation. CBS College Sports has a 23-game package for this season, including telecasts of the NCAA Division I, II and III women’s championships and the NCAA Division II and III men’s championships. CBS College Sports will also telecast the US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship.
