Visioning Task Force Survey - No. 2 Thank you to all who took the time to provide us with feedback via the most recent Visioning Task Force survey. We are now in the process of reviewing all the information and will report on the findings in the near future. Thank you for supporting US Lacrosse.
Why a "Visioning" task force for Women's Lacrosse? The purpose of the Women's Division Visioning Task Force is to find effective ways to connect with you supporters of the women's game and learn from you how you are feeling about the state of our game. To be effective leaders, the US Lacrosse Women's Division and its volunteer leadership need to hear from the community at-large, from time to time, about those mutally held agreements upon which the organization is built. For the varied constituencies of the women's lacrosse community (athletics, coaches, officials, fans), the game is what best connects us to the national organization and to each other.
Why now? No other American sport has grown faster than Lacrosse over the past ten years – and the women's game is at the very forefront of that growth. Over the past few years, individual issues have sparked dialogue about certain aspects of the game, and the Women's Division has worked with representatives from all aspects of the women's lacrosse community at major National events, and provided opportunities for people to express their opinions about the state of the game: where is it today and where it may be tomorrow.
What are the goals of the Visioning Task Force? 1. To collect information from the membership regarding opinions about the women's game.
2. To organize, tabulate and evaluate information from surveys, and other links to the women's lacrosse community.
3. To identify points of consensus, as a step toward creating a broader "vision for the game."
What will the Visioning Task Force do? The Visioning Task Force is primarily an outreach initiative. Its goal is to connect with as many of you in the membership as possible. The task force will hold meetings, open forums and produce surveys.
